Happy Birthday
I was about nine years old when Danny came to Las Vegas with some friends to visit. One Saturday morning I had a soccer game and I remember we were about to start the game and my Dad yelled, "Angela look!!" my Dad surprised me and brought my cousin Danny to my game. I was so EXCITED that Danny came to my soccer game and at that game I scored my very first soccer goal ever! I remember looking over at the sidelines and my Mom, Dad, brother and Danny were jumping up and down screaming as loud as they could and then Danny ran out onto the field and gave me the biggest hug!!
My family and I came to New Castle to visit and I remember having dinner at my Aunt Patty's house. I was about five years old and Danny said to me, "Angela what is your favorite music group?" and I said, New Kids on the Block and Joey Mcintyre is my favorite! A few weeks later my family and I returned home to Las Vegas and there was a package in the mail from Danny. He bought me a custom made New Kids on the Block t shirt with my name on it! I was the most EXCITED five year old EVER!! At my wedding I had the DJ play NKOTB and I dedicated the song, "You got the right stuff" to my cousin Danny. NKOTB went on tour twice before I moved to Okinawa, Japan and right before each concert was about to start I ALWAYS text Danny, "Thank you for my first NKOTB t-shirt when I was five years old I love you!"
I was about seven years old and my brother Sammy was six years old when Danny and his friends came to visit us in Las Vegas. One night my Mom made sauce and Danny and his friends came over for dinner. Danny brought over a video tape that he wanted all of us to watch. On this video tape was a party that Danny and his friends threw when Danny was in college at Notre Dame University. What my brother and I thought was SO COOL was that Danny and his friends covered the floors of the house they were having this party at with plastic wrap and then covered the floors with sand. The party looked like one BIG Hawaiian Luau. My brother and I thought our cousin was so COOL that we called our neighborhood friends over to show them the party video. All of the neighborhood kids thought it was so cool that Danny covered the floors with sand and had a party. Later on that night Danny and his friends came outside and played football with all of the neighbor kids. We had a blast that night!
Happy 40th cousin! ! I really enjoyed sitting down and thinking of different "Danny Cardella" stories that I have. I love you and hope that you have a wonderful birthday!
